Jerry Meerkatz
CEO

Jerry joined Starview Inc. in early 2011 and has extensive experience in bringing to market enterprise products in both the software and hardware marketplaces. Before Starview, Jerry worked as General Manager and Vice President for several divisions of Compaq and Hewlett Packard, as well as emerging companies in the VoIP, enterprise mobile software and telecommunications industries. Jerry spent the last 32 years in the technology field with the last 25 in executive management worldwide. He is originally from the Flathead Valley in northwestern Montana, and holds a degree in Electronics Engineering Technology from DeVry University.

Steve Baunach
Founder / GM, Americas

Steve is responsible for the design and delivery of high-value, domain-specific solutions to customers, working to translate challenges into product requirements for future productization of the Starview Enterprise Platform and customer project implementations. Prior to founding Starview Inc.’s predecessor Starview Technology in 2001, Steve served as VP of Engineering and CTO of BlackHog, a cloud-based inter-enterprise direct material procurement management system. Before that, he was VP of Product Development and CTO of Sherpa Corporation, seeing it through its acquisition by Inso Corporation and subsequent sale to SDRC. Steve has a BS in Electrical Engineering and Computer Engineering from Oregon State University, and has been Issued three US patents.

Frank McCabe
Chief Technology Officer

Frank McCabe is responsible for the technology that drives the Starview Enterprise Platform. His work fostering the development the Star™ language, as well as the algorithms that drive Starview’s decision-management and business analytics software, is truly revolutionary for its ability to significantly reduce coding time, which in turn enables the simple creation, testing and deployment of applications customized for large, data-drenched environments. Prior to Starview, he served as Director of Research and Development at Genietown and as Research Fellow at Fujitsu Laboratories. He has extensive research experience in programming language design, multi-agent systems and logic programming. He has also been active in various standardization efforts including the OASIS SOA Reference Model. He holds a PhD in Computing from Imperial College, London.

Angus MacDonald
VP, Strategy

Angus is responsible for developing both strategic alliances and customer relationships for Starview. He has 20 years of experience bringing solutions to market that meet the technical and business requirements of global enterprises. Prior to joining Starview, Angus was co-founder of Mathon Systems, which produced in-network Information Governance solutions. He has also played a number of executive roles, including CEO of Snapbridge Software (now Mochila) and Vice President of TIBCO Software. Angus received his Ph.D. in Microelectronics and an undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Edinburgh in Scotland.

Tuǧrul Firatli
VP, Business Development

Tuğrul Firatli has more than 20 years of engineering and management experience in the software and networking industries. He has been involved in almost every aspect of technology companies, from product design, development and customer support, to marketing strategy, sales, and executive management. Tuğrul was a co-founder of TIBCO Software and a member of the executive management team that led the company to its successful IPO. Prior to TIBCO, Tuğrul worked on development and deployment of communications protocols and networks at Bell Laboratories, Bell Communications Research, and Apple. He holds B.S. and M.S. degrees in Electrical Engineering from Chalmers University of Technology in Gothenburg, Sweden, where he also conducted several years of post-graduate research work in the Computer Science Department, before moving to the United States.

Luke Glen
GM, Europe

Luke is charge of Starview’s business development and operations in Europe. He has had a number of roles within high technology companies over the last 20 years, including eBusiness Consulting with Deloitte Consulting in Australia; as a Lotus Notes Developer with IBM in Scotland; Presales, Sales and Product Marketing at BEA Systems; and RFID Evangelist in Asia before the Oracle acquisition in 2008. He holds a Business Computing degree with distinction from the Queensland University of Technology, and currently resides in London.
